Earthquakes and large block monumental structures
Main Article Content
Abstract
A review of a research program developed in the last fen years into the dynamics of large block structure is
presented. The many aspects which characterize the structural behaviour and determine the complexity of the
consequent dynamics are briefly discussed. The preliminary mechanical models and first results obtained are
also analyzed; they allow to define the direction of the main object of the research in progress.
