Abstract
Dal 1939 al 1943 furono eseguiti nei Campi Flegrei e precisamentenelle località « Le Mofete », « Monte Nuovo » e « Agnano »,alcuni sondaggi profondi da qualche decina di metri fino a diversecentinaia di metri per determinare le principali caratteristiche fisiche,chimiche e pelrografiche del sottosuolo in zone presentanti notevolimanifestazioni fumaroliche o prossime ad aree ricche di esalazioni.Rimandiamo ad altre note (*) per la descrizione dettagliata deifori più profondi, dei terreni incontrati, delle manifestazioni in esseriscontrate e per qualche conclusione generale. Come già per le ricerchenell'isola d'Ischia (2), esponiamo qui di seguito brevi notizierelative ai fori trivellati che furono tenuti in osservazione per qualchetempo I fino a quattro anni qualcuno) nel tentativo di inquadrarela fenomenologia, oggetto di studio, agli effetti ultimi della utilizzazionedelle acque termali per forza motrice e della ricerca di vaporeacqueo profondo (3).Tali notizie permetteranno di valutare meglio le caratteristicheriscontrate e raccolte nelle tabelle accluse.
