Dr. Chaudhuri has a long-term working experience in the research areas: Investigation on geochemical and geophysical aspect and radioactive profile for geothermal exploration and Helium exploration; Large scale extraction of Helium from petroleum deposits and hydrothermal gas and its purification; Development of a network of MPGOs (Multi-parametric Geophysical Observatories) towards implementation of geochemical precursors, Electromagnetic (EM) precursors, seismo-geochemical & seismo-geophysical modeling of earthquake precursors; Nonlinear analysis of geochemical & geophysical data, earthquake precursory data and medical data (EEG signals) etc.; Integrated and sustainable technology solutions for organic wastewater treatment and Electrokinetic treatment of soil. Dr. Chaudhuri possesses the technical expertise in adsorption process. He is associated with nonlinear analysis of geochemical and environmental time series data. He has expertise in physico-chemical analysis of waste contaminates. He has expertise in the aforesaid field over last 12 years. He has successfully carried out many sponsored projects funded by DST-Govt. of India, MoES-Govt. of India. Presently Dr. Chaudhuri is working as investigators of two research projects on Radon monitoring and nonlinear analysis of geochemical data. These projects are funded by Govt. of India MHRD, SERB, DST. Dr. Chaudhuri successfully completed three research projects since 2013 on Geothermal Exploration, Earthquake Precursory Study. Those projects were funded by Govt. of India, MHRD and Govt. of India MoES. He has more than 25 publications in the International Journal of Repute to his credit. He has teamed up with many technical and research institutions like IISER-Kolkata, ISR-Gandhinagar, SINP- Kolkata, VECC-Kolkata etc. Dr. Chaudhuri can hopefully impart his knowledge to monitor the project towards successful completion with fruitful findings.
Dr. Chaudhuri has several national and international collaborations. He has research collaboration with NASA Ames Research Center, California USA (in Global Earthquake Forecasting System), Far Eastern Federal University, Russia (in metal extraction technology from fly ash), Trofimuk Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics, Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk, Russia, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Russia (through BRICS NU Programme Water management). Apart from that Dr. Chaudhuri has collaboration with Bombay IIT, IISER, Kolkata, Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata, Variable Energy Cyclotron Center, Kolkata, Institute of Seismological Research, Gandhinagar, and Geological Survey of India etc.
Dr. Chaudhuri received several awards as a young scientist. He was selected as a Fellow of Earth Science Society of India in 2015. Dr. Presently Dr. Chaudhuri is serving as the Advisor of the CoE at JIS College of Engineering, Kolkata, member of the State level Steering committee and Nodal Officer from NIT Durgapur for Govt. of India and Govt. of West Bengal joint venture “Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA”) to promote science at the state of West Bengal, Member of Coordination Committee (NCC) of BRICS Network University Programme at NIT Durgapur. Dr. Chaudhuri was awarded Visiting Scientist Fellowship from Govt. of India, Department of Atomic Energy [DAE] at Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Kolkata in the year 2009. He received a memento from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC), Kuthalam GCS, in 2009 for a major contribution in R & D Activity on the country’ first Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) based Prototype Helium Purification Plant at ONGC’s Kuthalam GCS, Tamilnadu. He received National Scholarship from the Government of West Bengal, Education Department, India in the year 1996.
