Abstract

This short paper intends to highlight the uniqueness of scientific commitment – not rarely of a high level – of some

members of religious orders who, among other duties of their sacerdotal ministry, dedicated themselves particularly

to in the study of sciences of the earth, realizing as such a fertile union between «pity and science», typical

of the common spiritual and cultural formation of members of the Regular Clerics of Saint Paul, called Barnabites.
