A brief review of mathematical models concerning the vertical variation of the water density in the sea
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper is concerned with a fundamental marine
problem, i.e. the internal waves. After a discussion of the physical assumptions
about some mathematical models describing the vertical structure
of the sea, we present the various driving forces and the different theoretical
formalisms to approach the problem.
