Non-linear laminar flow into eccentrically placed well

Abstract
In steady s t a t e condition, non-linear laminar flow of
fluid into an eccentrically placed well is considered. Its influence on tlic
discharge and t h e dependence on r e l a t e d physical q u a n t i t i e s is investigated.
I t is observed t h a t as t h e well approaches towards t h e contour of i n t a k e , t he
discharge increases, which is an obvious result consistent w i t h t h a t obtained
by Polubarinova-Kochina in case of laminar flow.
