Sugli indici di attività dei filamenti solari

Abstract
Il problema dell'analisi degli indici di attività solare ha due aspetti:a) si possono ricercare quali sono quei fenomeni solari che presentanouna maggiore correlazione con un determinato fenomeno geofìsico;b) si possono ricercare quelle grandezze che meglio descrivono undeterminato fenomeno solare.Ovviamente la seconda ricerca, di carattere strettamente metrologico,è propedeutica alla prima.Nel presente lavoro ci siamo proposti di analizzare gli indici utilizzatiper la descrizione dell'attività dei filamenti solari.Per una accurata descrizione morfologica e fìsica del fenomeno delleprotuberanze e dei filamenti solari rimandiamo ad altra sede (»). Qui cipreme ricordare soltanto che i filamenti oscuri, osservati sul disco inradiazione monocromatica, altro non sono che protuberanze generalmentequiescenti. Si possono occasionalmente osservare sul disco come filamentianche protuberanze attive ma in questo caso i filamenti sono poco estesi emolto variabili.
